What is the SCBW Lending Library and how does it work?
Our lending library was created with the intent of allowing everyone who wants to learn to wear their babies an opportunity to do so by trying a myriad of different carriers before they invest in one, or to simply try something new. We have a wide range of carriers available, including: Stretchy wraps, hybrid stretch wraps, woven wraps, mei tais, podegai ring slings, fitted slings (limited sizing),and soft structured carriers. Please see our facebook group page for full descriptions of each carrier.
To utilize the Lending library, you must:
* be a member of our facebook group, and
*either have attended a minimum of two meetups OR be able to provide references from within the group(ie have someone to vouch for you),
*AND provide both the rental fee ($5/2 week period per carrier) and the refundable security deposit for the carrier. Deposits vary, based on circumstance.Deposits will be refunded upon the return and inspection of the carrier.
Lending Library items are available to try for free at any meetup. There is only a fee associated with trying a carrier if checking one out for the two week period.
